Joni Hyttinen, Master of Social Sciences, Sociologist. His main area of study was changes in professional life and employment. His pro gradu -study was on the subject of changes in the work of entrepreneurs in the field of mechanical engineering. He also studied management, psychology, media studies and communications.
Joni’s strongest area of competence is expertise in the subject of work, return to work processes and the production and coordination of vocational rehabilitation services.
Before he took up his current position, Joni had worked as an expert in public employment services. The various positions he held meant he became well acquainted with how the labour market works and the changes that take place in it and prepared him for the role of customer service specialist.
In his work with customers, Joni has wrestled in particular with the problems that people face in employment, such as the difficulties finding work and remaining employed, and the challenges associated with work and the ability to function.
Joni is motivated by success that is experienced jointly with the customer and the opportunities there are for self-development to boost his expertise even further. He works to achieve results and is not afraid of going to the very limits of his areas of competence.
‘I basically believe that work should be done using a variety of approaches and with and for people, at the same time having fun,’ says Joni.
In his spare time Joni plays rugby for the Kuopio Rugby Club and is learning to play the bass guitar. To completely relax, he loves reading horror stories and science fiction and watching those sorts of movies.
